Shane Dawson, Jeffree Star caused James Charles drama

Tati Westbrook is reopening the wounds from her feud with James Charles.

The beauty YouTuber posted a new video on Tuesday, placing blame for her viral “Bye Sister” video from May 2019 — in which she called out fellow vlogger James Charles for shady business deals and sexual advances on straight men — squarely on Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star.

“I was following my heart but I listened to the wrong people,” Westbrook, 38, said in a 40-minute video called “Breaking My Silence.”

“James Charles has made his fair share of mistakes, and has been in scandals — as we all have — but I’ve always believed in him,” the star continued.

“I made [the video] as a result of all the poisonous lies that were fed to me by Shane Dawson and Jeffree Star. Believing those lies and letting myself be gaslit into making that video is one of the biggest regrets of my life. The information they were giving me was terrifying. I was told there were a lot of victims that were going to come forward.”

Westbrook also said that after the drama died down, Charles came to her house in order to compare texts and direct messages and gather more proof against Star and Dawson, reigniting their friendship.

Dawson quickly went on Instagram Live to respond to the video. He called Westbrook “manipulative” and “insane,” accusing her of “fake crying.”

Dawson’s fiancé, Ryland Adams, called the video “a master class in manipulation” and a way “to save her reputation.”

Jeffree Star has yet to respond, but it seems this drama is far from over.

Page Six Style has reached out to Westbrook, Charles, Star and Dawson for comment.
