Erika Girardi is in rehearsal mode for her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in “Chicago,” and is having a great time … for now.
“In this moment it feels great,” Girardi recently told Page Six at BravoCon. “Opening night I’ll probably vomit in a bucket off stage.”
The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star, 48, begins performing on Jan. 6.
Her latest role is much different than her “Housewives” gig, with her explaining: “You cannot rehearse ‘Housewives.’ Let me say that again. You cannot rehearse ‘Housewives’ because it’s natural and in the moment. You can rehearse Broadway and that’s what we’re doing and that’s where all the hard work comes in for Broadway.”
Fans will see her journey to the stage, as Page Six previously reported that cameras will be following “some of” her move to New York.
She isn’t the first “RHOBH” star to take on the role, as Lisa Rinna starred as Roxie in 2007 opposite her husband, Harry Hamlin.
In the meantime, she’s still filming for the show’s upcoming tenth season. She told us that she has “a lot going on but it’s all great stuff.”
As she said, “Pressure makes diamonds.”
