Now every time Jordyn Woods wants a break from the drama, all she has to do is look at her arm.
The model, 21, visited her brother’s tattoo shop in Los Angeles last week to add to her vast collection of ink, but kept the new art hidden until Monday night, when she showed it off at the UOMA Summer House LA party.
Woods’ tattoo reads, “What’s meant for me will never miss me.”
The quote is an abridged version of a saying by Arab Muslim theologian, writer and scholar Imam Al-Shafi’i: “My heart is at ease knowing that what was meant for me will never miss me, and that what misses me was never meant for me.”
Though Woods has not explained the meaning behind her new tattoo, it seems to be a not-so-subtle reference to the dramatic year she’d had after hooking up with Khloé Kardashian’s baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, which in turn led to a falling out between Woods and her close pal Kylie Jenner.
Since the scandal broke in February, Woods and Jenner have unfollowed each other on social media and the latter has gone on multiple group vacations — and is currently in Italy celebrating her 22nd birthday — without her former best friend.
A source close to Woods, however, told Page Six that she’s over the drama. “This vacation makes it kind of clear that [Kylie and Jordyn] are moving on and doing what they have to do to move on with their lives,” the source said in July. “It is what it is. The writing’s on the wall.”
Since then, Woods has been busy designing a new clothing collection, promoting her line of false eyelashes and finding new friends, like rapper Megan Thee Stallion.
