After being a part of the infamous cheating scandal with Khloe Kardashian and her ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson, Jordyn Woods has refocused on herself and will be making her TV debut this summer. Kylie Jenner’s former BFF took to Instagram to reveal that she has snagged a guest starring role on the Freeform hit series, grown-ish.
“I’ve been waiting to share this with you guys but I am SO excited to guest star on this season of #grownish it returns June 5th on @freeform,” she said. “This was the first role I’ve ever booked and I was nervous at first but I got past that and had the best time take risks and stay consistent to your journey, you never know what the world has to offer.”
Woods will play a freshman named Dee, a character with a “sweet soul with a soft-spoken and sincere vulnerability,” according to People.
The 21-year-old gained the world’s attention after appearing on her godmother’s, Jada Pinkett Smith, Facebook show, Red Table Talk, to discuss the cheating scandal with Thompson.
Season two of grown-ish will follow Zoey, played by Yara Shahidi, as she tries to navigate college life without the financial help of her father after he found out she cheated on a chemistry final and wasn’t being as responsible as he thought she’d be. The Cal U student also found out her bestie Ana, played by Francia Raisa, had been hooking up and falling for her ex Aaron, played by Trevor Jackson. The second season premieres on June 5th at 8 p.m. ET/PT. The episode that Woods will appear on will air July 24th.
