The King left Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas with some advice before they headed off into newlywed bliss.
The Elvis impersonator who officiated the couple’s surprise Las Vegas wedding this week opened up to Page Six on Friday about the wisdom he bestowed upon them after the ceremony.
“I gave them a pair of Elvis glasses and told them to put them on before they go to bed at night, you know what I’m talking about,” Elvis, whose real name is Jesse Grice, told us with a laugh, “and she’ll treat him like a king.”
Grice, who officiated 650 weddings last year, said he’s seen a lot of couples come through whose marriages he’d bet wouldn’t last, but he could tell there was true love between the “Game of Thrones” actress and the pop star.
“Without a doubt,” he said of their feelings. “They were into each other so much. I’m a Vegas man, so I give them 75-25 odds. That’s good!”
Grice said the couple booked the entire chapel a week in advance, but he didn’t find out it would be the A-list stars until about six minutes before the event started.
“It was a total surprise,” he shared. “I recognized his name but without being a huge fan it wasn’t nervewracking. We didn’t get starstruck or anything like that. They were nice cool guys and real down-to-earth.”
Start to finish, the event took about an hour, but the ceremony only took 20 minutes.
As Page Six exclusively revealed, Jonas and Turner then set off for a lavish honeymoon at the super-private San Vicente Bungalows in West Hollywood. They’re still expected to hold their wedding in France later this summer.
